What: YARD YOGA! Who: Youthful yogis, your friends, and the kids in the neighborhood! When: Your call! Where: Your back yard! (Or any accessible, safe space, like a park or basement, in your neighborhood.) Why: Because yoga in the fresh air, with your friends is FUN and HEALTHY! How much: Depends on duration of class, number of students, location, and specific needs of the group. Anywhere from around $10-$20/yogi. (That is for at least 1.5 hours, and if you are providing the YARD, you will get an even better deal!) What to bring: A yoga mat &/or beach towel, water bottle, possibly a snack, smiles. Interested? Answer what you can at this time. |
Here's how it works: - A willing parent provides the yard or suggests a popular park nearby. (Ideally we would love a space that provides both sun & shade, but we love it all. Let us know if you would be willing to provide a back-up rainy day space.) - Gather your kid's friends and other neighborhood kids that are interested in some FUN, yoga-style. - Pick a time and budget that works for the parents. Sessions can be anywhere from 1-3 hours. - You are free to leave your home if you like. I only ask that we have access to a bathroom, and possibly a fridge for snacks. - No peanut galleries! Use this time for yourself! With the extra time, we have more time to: - delve deeper into the poses, breathing, games, partner work, exercises, and relaxations, - discuss how we are feeling, share stories, and talk more about how to incorporate yoga into our everyday lives, - get creative with inspired arts & crafts, - snack (who doesn't like a healthy treat?!) - engage our bodies, minds and spirits!
